The FSC has established a globally recognised system of interdependent forest certification and product labelling that helps consumers identify timber and wood products from responsibly managed woodlands.
A global network of FSC accredited affiliates, including well-known environmental organisations such as the Rainforest Alliance and Soil Association, administer strictly controlled FSC programmes around the world. In the past 13 years, over 90 million hectares of forest in more than 70 countries have been certified.
Our FSC application process began in late 2009 and involves significant auditing of every aspect of our forest management and it’s impact on the local community and the environment.
By the end of 2011, we pledge that we will have achieved full FSC accreditation. This standard will prove that our forest management is ecologically, economically & socially sustainable.
