Cork Forestry

From forest to bottle

From the management of forestry through to the supply of cork closures, our activities demonstrate an understanding of the interdependence between industry and a unique ecosystem.

At Rankin we are aware of our responsibilities in supporting the local economy, sustaining livelihoods and preserving the environment.

Our membership of the European Cork Confederation ensures that we not only stay abreast of best-practice issues, but we are also part of “expert usergroups” helping to shape and define these changes.

4 generations of the Rankin family have since 1880 been managing our own cork forests in Portugal. FSC accreditation audit is underway, which will underscore our commitment to sustainable practices, developed over the past 130 years.
